Elspeth Cochrane Personal Management is one of the oldest theatrical agencies, having been established in 1960. Founded by Elspeth Cochrane who had herself trained at the Webber Douglas School of Drama and Music before working extensively as an actress. After some years in the business she was invited to join the legendary Director Sir Tyrone Guthrie when he was invited to start the famous theatre in Stratford, Ontario in Canada.
When she returned to the UK she initially became a successful stage and television writer before eventually setting up the agency for writers and directors. Later she was to include actors, dancers, designers and musicians and so the agency became the all-embracing set up of today. Miss Cochrane has always believed in bringing people of all talents together and being the midwife to the birth of a new project.
Since its foundation many of the most distinguished artists in these disciplines have been on her books and her knowledge and experience is second to none. Today, as before her clients include as ever talented writers, directors, designers and actors.
Today, ECPM is joined by Tony Barlow who has also had wide experience in the theatre as Administrator as well as in Press and Marketing. |
